Burgstate City Campus
Burgstate City Campus offers one large student housing complex. It has different types of rooms, equipped with all conveniences. You share your shower and toilet with two other roommates but have your own kitchen unit. It is also possible to rent a fully furnished room, which comes in handy when you're coming from abroad!
Burgstate City Campus is located just outside the center of Venlo. It takes about five minutes to get to the heart of the city, is close to a supermarket and just two blocks removed from the river.

Xior Student Housing
Xior Student Housing offers studio apartments right smack in the middle of Venlo. One of their buildings is next to music venue Grenswerk, so you can roll straight into bed after a fun party. Another one is just a one-minute walk from the station, so you don't have to lug your heavy bags for long.
Xior is a Belgian organization that rents student housing throughout Europe, but especially in the major Belgian and Dutch student cities.

What about?
Woonwenz
On the Koninginnesingel, Woonwenz offers various student rooms. These rooms are within walking distance of HAS and a few minutes by bike from Fontys and Maastricht University. If you walk around the back, you'll find yourself almost in the middle of the city center. The station is a two-minute walk, and the bus stop is right at the door.
You can also rent these ideally located rooms furnished. You live with several students in one apartment. You have your own room and share the kitchen, living room, bathroom, storage room, and balcony.
What about?
Antares
Antares offers 97 student rooms near the center of Venlo. They are rented for short stays (approximately six to twelve months). The buildings are called Carpe Diem (Jan Teunissenplein) and Delos (Pastoor Op Heijstraat). All student rooms are 9 to 14 m2 in size. The rooms are located near the bus and train station. It takes about fifteen minutes to walk to the center, where you will find shops, restaurants, and cafes. - Fontys Venlo and/or Maastricht University are easily accessible (on foot or by bike).

On a budget
Even with a small budget, you can quickly make your room in Venlo place to come home to. In the city and surrounding area, you'll find several thrift stores where students often succeed, such as Het Goed, Opa Jos, and Kringloop Boerendans. Additionally, Marktplaats and Facebook Marketplace are ideal for acquiring affordable furniture and items locally. You often pay less than in regular stores and still give your room a personal touch.
TIP! At Het Goed, students also receive a 10% discount upon showing their student ID. This way, you can furnish your room affordably and sustainably.
Looking for new items?
Sometimes something new is simply more practical, for example for a bed or desk. In the center of Venlo, you will find affordable stores that might be useful such as Xenos, Wibra, and Action, all within walking distance. For larger purchases, you can visit Trefcenter, where multiple home and interior stores are gathered, such as JYSK, Kwantum, and Leen Bakker. Trefcenter is located slightly outside the center, so it is easiest to reach by bike, public transport, or car.

New Cool Collective
It all begins in 1993 in the Amsterdam Soul Kitchen, where Benjamin Herman and DJ Graham B take the stage together. While Graham B spins records, Benjamin plays. A unique combination. Eventually, this leads to the eight-piece New Cool Collective, with which the band has played countless times in leading clubs and festivals around the world, either in the regular 8-piece lineup or as a 19-piece big band. Additionally, New Cool Collective previously collaborated with the likes of Tony Allen, Mapacha Africa, Andrew Roachford, Jules Deelder, Typhoon, Guus Meeuwis, Matt Bianco, Thierno Koité, and Georgie Fame. Meanwhile, the creative engine is running at full throttle; the passion undiminished, and New Cool Collective is working on new material. Keep an eye out!
