Whether you plan to move into a student room, live with friends, or stay at home for a while: in Venlo, you'll always find a place that suits you. The city offers a great mix of student housing, studios, and rooms; affordable, centrally located, and often within walking distance of your education.
Most students live in or around the city center. Here, you are close to everything Venlo has to offer: cozy cafés, the Maasboulevard, shops, and sports facilities. But in surrounding neighborhoods like ’t Ven, Blerick, and Tegelen, you will also find quiet living spaces with lots of greenery and good connections to the city and your education.
I'm looking for a room!Small and cozy, that's studying in Venlo. Not that Venlo is a small city, on the contrary, but when you come to study in Venlo, everything is within reach: your education, your room, your favorite coffee shop, a store for some 'retail therapy', a museum for inspiration, a nature reserve for a breather, and of course that one café where you blow off steam after your lectures.
The city center of Venlo is the beating heart of your student life. From a quick bite to a drink at the pub, there's always a place in Venlo where it's lively. The terraces on the Markt, the cafes on the Parade or by the Maas: in Venlo, you create memories for a lifetime!
Venlo is not an anonymous student city. It is a city where people know each other, help, organize, and celebrate together. You notice it on the street, in the supermarket, at your sports club, and your education. Here, you are not just a student because whoever lives here becomes a bit of a Venlo resident. A thinker and a doer. Someone who enjoys life and looks forward to the future.

It all begins in 1993 in the Amsterdam Soul Kitchen, where Benjamin Herman and DJ Graham B take the stage together. While Graham B spins records, Benjamin plays. A unique combination. Eventually, this leads to the eight-piece New Cool Collective, with which the band has played countless times in leading clubs and festivals around the world, either in the regular 8-piece lineup or as a 19-piece big band. Additionally, New Cool Collective previously collaborated with the likes of Tony Allen, Mapacha Africa, Andrew Roachford, Jules Deelder, Typhoon, Guus Meeuwis, Matt Bianco, Thierno Koité, and Georgie Fame. Meanwhile, the creative engine is running at full throttle; the passion undiminished, and New Cool Collective is working on new material. Keep an eye out! As always, the focus will be on the dance floor. The motto remains unchanged: “Get the people moving” — both physically and mentally.
