Sourdough bakery Steyl – Bread as it is meant to be

In the heart of the monastery village of Steyl (Kloosterstraat 2, entrance World Pavilion), we bake artisanal sourdough bread every Saturday. Hand-shaped, long-risen, and baked in a deck oven for that delicious crispy crust.

We use stone-ground flour, water, salt, and our own sourdough culture – without unnecessary additives. The result? Bread with more flavor, better digestibility, and longer freshness.
