Eugène Brands (1913-2002) is een van Nederlands meest geliefde CoBrA-kunstenaars. Een enorme fascinatie voor de kosmos loopt als een rode draad door zijn werk. Dit najaar presenteert museum van Bommel van Dam, dat een grote Brands-collectie bezit, het eerste museumoverzicht van zijn kosmische schilderijen, assemblages en werken op papier. De hedendaagse kunstenaar & uitvinder Gabriel Lester (1972) deelt Brands' fascinatie voor het onzichtbare en onbekende. Speciaal voor de tentoonstelling ontwierp hij een meeslepend decor waarin je het werk van de bekende kunstschilder als nooit tevoren beleeft.
