Gonzo

Who doesn't know Gonzo? When Gonzo told me that he has a passion for music and his house is filled with records, I was eager to take a look.

Gonzo has had many different jobs, but you might also recognize him from the Gonzobar in Tegelen. He can talk about it with such pride and tell great stories. His whole house is filled with items from the Gonzobar, and even his wardrobe is influenced by it, as you can see.

Gonzo can often be found in the Gonzobar. He also loves going to concerts or live performances. He has already seen big names such as Rammstein, Ozzy Osborne, Guns & Roses, AC/DC, John Mayall, Luther Allison, BB KING, Frank Zappa, Pink Floyd, Deep Purple, and many more. He is also certainly not to be missed at the Zomerparkfeest and as a co-founder of the Zoks festival. Gonzo brings atmosphere, and it’s always fun with him around. If you see him standing at the front during a live performance, he’s definitely not standing still but swinging along. Not only then, but also at home when he’s playing his records, he often dances along, for example, when ska is playing and he’s listening to Bad Manners.

His very first record was one by Jimi Hendrix. When he had just bought it, he proudly showed everyone his first purchase of his LP collection. Only to find out years later that it was a tribute to, he tells with a laugh.

Gonzo is so wonderfully himself, and I hope I have been able to show that in my photos.
