The Chapel of Genooi (also known as 'ût Kepelke van Genuuje')

58, Genooyerkapelweg, Venlo

Whether you believe or not, many people from Venlo regularly light a candle in ût Kepelke van Genuuje. This small chapel, built in 1631, is dedicated to Mary. It is a place of devotion, peace, serenity, and reflection. The chapel was thoroughly restored in 1917 by the renowned architect Pierre Cuypers and expanded with an ambulatory, aisles, and a separate cross chapel.

The chapel is located on a path right along the Maas and is part of both the Pieterpad and the route to Santiago de Compostela! Enjoy a pleasant walk through the rural and idyllic area along the Maas, find yourself in the chapel, and then treat yourself to a delicious cup of coffee at De Genuujerie.
