Missiehuis St. Michael

Monastery Village Steyl finds its origins as a monastery village in a number of refuge monasteries. Monasteries that were established in places in the Netherlands as a result of the Kulturkampf in Germany. Due to the government, monasteries were banned for several years. This is how Mission House Saint Michael originated.
