Walking in Venlo

Walk among the greenery, the Meuse, and be accompanied by the Galloway cattle. This route of 13 km starts at Brasserie Sur Meuse. You can easily park your car here. From this spot, head towards the Meuse and continue the walk on the footpath. This path is located next to the Meuse. Follow the route to the Stadsbrug in Venlo and walk back via the other side. A lovely route along the water!

The walk ends in the small village of Swalmen, at the market square in front of the church. A beautiful route through the forest, of 23 km.

Start your walk of 12 km at Café Feestzaal Boostenhof and follow the road diagonally to the right towards junction 42. This route takes you past historical sites in Boekend, such as a restored cult site from the Iron Age and the Galgeven, where criminals were once executed. Outside the village, you walk along Napoleon's Grand Canal du Nord, a never completed canal that was meant to connect the Scheldt, Meuse, and Rhine.
