See­ing Sounds

What if you could also see music? In the exhibition Seeing Sounds at the van Bommel van Dam museum, you will discover the work of four artists from different generations for whom music is more than a subject: it is a way to imagine freedom.Yet something remains unseen until you listen. Take a seat at one of the vinyl stations, browse, choose, listen, and experience how music changes your view on the artworks of Raafat Ballan, Sedje Hémon, Sam Middleton, and Dion Rosina. An invitation to look with both eyes and ears!

We Will Rock You

Sinds de wereldpremière in 2002 zagen miljoenen mensen over de hele wereld dit muzikale spektakel waarin meer dan 20 hits van de legendarische band te horen zijn, maar nog nooit was deze musical als reizende voorstelling in Nederland te zien. En nu gaat het gebeuren. De voorstelling speelt zich af, in een niet eens zo’n heel verre toekomst, waarin grote internetbedrijven de wereld beheersen en echte, eerlijke pop en rockmuziek verboden is. Maar een verzetsgroep Bohemians staat op tegen de computergestuurde muziek en toont uiteindelijk aan dat er niets gaat boven echte muziek en onsterfelijke nummers als Somebody To Love, I Want To Break Free en natuurlijk Bohemian Rhapsody. Het dak gaat er ongetwijfeld af bij deze musical knaller, met een grote live-band en een topcast.In 2026 zou Freddy Mercury 80 jaar geworden zijn en er is geen mooiere manier om zijn leven en werk te vieren dan met We Will Rock You. We Will Rock You Regie: Paul van Ewijk Producent: Albert Verlinde i.s.m.
