Kloostertuin

The monastery garden from 1875-1900 of the St. Michael's monastery is completely walled and accessible through two gates; one to the south of Mission House St. Michael and one to the north, near the parking lot. The garden is primarily a place of devotion; there is a Lourdes grotto present, and there are several statues of saints in the gardens.

Additionally, an ornamental garden, orchard, and impressive cemetery are part of the complex. The Sacred Heart Hill, with a cross formed out of plants, is one of the defining features of the monastery garden.

The monastery garden of Mission House St. Michael is a national monument.

No dogs are allowed in the gardens. The gardens are a place of tranquility in the lives of many people.
