Nature’s Joy

Life is buzzing in Venlo. Major events, surprising initiatives, and our vastelaovend shows how connected and full of life we are. But just as easily as we accelerate, we slow down. Because you'll always find peace here, along the Maas, in our villages, or amidst the greenery. Whether you live here, are moving here, or love to visit: in Venlo, you'll feel at home right away.
We are bon vivants at heart. We celebrate life in all its facets. Our city motto Festina Lente – make haste slowly – reflects this philosophy of life. Here we take the time to enjoy what is truly important. And above all, we do it together. Welcome to Venlo!
In Venlo, we toast to life and throw parties wherever possible. Here's what's happening in Venlo in the coming period.

Cuntdown is the ultimate ballroom battle arena of House of Vineyard, where teams come together to compete, vogue, and conquer the ring. For this special showcase edition, Legendary Mother Amber Vineyard brings together the most impressive talents from the Dutch Ballroom Scene for an unprecedented show full of Charisma, Uniqueness, Nerve, and Talent. Who will dominate the ring? Let the battles speak for themselves! House of Vineyard, founded in 2014 by Amber Vineyard, is the first ballroom house in the Netherlands. Ballroom culture originated in New York as a safe space primarily for the Black and Latinx queer and trans community. Many members come from marginalized groups and have found their own chosen family within it. With House of Confetti invites Cuntdown, House of Confetti bridges the gap between the ballroom scene and the audience of Zomerparkfeest. This collaboration celebrates the power of self-expression, community, and performance. Turn up the cunt! This event takes place during Zomerparkfeest on Friday, August 14, 2026, at 9:00 PM in TEATRO and is free of charge.
