Living in the green
One of the major advantages of living in Venlo is the diversity in village…
On the banks of the Maas lies a city that lives, works, breathes, and connects. In Venlo, you will find the best of both worlds: the vibrancy of the city and the tranquility of nature. It is a place where people know each other, where communities are strong, and where there is space to live, grow, and enjoy.
Whether you are a born Venlo resident, come from the region, or are considering moving here, in Venlo you will quickly feel at home.

Venlo has a place for everyone. From the bustling city center to the tranquil village centers, from new residential areas to rural homes amidst greenery. Those who love tranquility and nature feel at home in neighborhoods where birds sing and the forest is just around the corner. Those who prefer to live where everything is close by find their home in the middle of the city, with shops, restaurants, and culture within walking distance.
More and more people are discovering Venlo as a great place to live and work. Whether you're moving for your job, your family, or just for a fresh start, here you'll find the space to settle in. The city is easily accessible, affordable, and has everything within reach – schools, sports clubs, nature, and a vibrant city center.
Growing up in Venlo is an adventure. Children here have the freedom to play, discover, and learn. There are plenty of schools, safe play areas, and clubs where young Venlo residents can develop their talents, from football to music and from scouting to theater.

In Venlo, we do it together. Sports, singing, acting, or volunteering, the city is bursting with clubs where people meet each other. Whether you are athletic or creative, there is always a club where you belong. And with events like the Venloop or the Vastelaovend, Venlo shows what living together looks like: with energy, solidarity, and fun.

Enterprising people who celebrate life, that's embedded in our DNA. Meet the people who make Venlo together.
