To fully enjoy the Vastelaovend, there are a few things you need to consider

Quench the thirst
Before you can quench your thirst during the Boétezitting, you'll need Venlonaerkes, the city coins of Venlo. On Friday and Saturday, they cost €3.75, and on the other days €3.50. You can buy the Venlonaerkes at the token counters located throughout the city center during the carnival. You can spend them everywhere, and they are even valid until the Venloop!
No alcohol for those under 18 years

The Venlo 'Baeker'
During carnival, the Venlo Cup is used. It costs a one-time fee of €0.50 and can be used at all major events in the municipality. A special information and return point for cups has been set up at Grote Kerkstraat 12, which is open from Wednesday, February 26 to Wednesday, March 5.

For when the need is urgent
Not entirely unimportant; where are the toilets? You can go to most cafés, and there are also toilet wagons. And here it applies, don't wait until the need is at its highest, because there are often long queues. There are public toilets at the Picardie, at the Youth Church, Museum van Bommel van Dam, and behind the town hall.
